Variables Independent: UNSC non-permanent membership (dichotomous) Dependent: volume of arms imports, measured by Trend-Indicator Value (TIV) The Question: Does political importance increase arms imports to a given country? Our Hypothesis: Positive relationship between arms imports and political importance.
