Two Truths and a Lie Please create three basic statements about yourself. Two of them must be true, one must be a lie. (Hint: make your lie believable.) Turn to neighbors – groups of two or three. Introduce yourself and share your three statements in no particular order. Now, which item was the lie? Share with your neighbor your best guess.

Individually, in your composition book : 4) List at least 20 details that you simply notice as interesting, strange, revealing or significant. 5) Now rank these details by assigning each a number in order of importance. 6) With your partner, share these lists you’ve generated. Note (e.g. circle or star) any that are shared or similarly ranked.

Discuss: With your partner, discuss why you’ve noticed what you have. Then go further. Why did you rank these as you did? Finally, answer what makes these details interesting, strange, revealing or significant, and what purpose might they serve, or meaning might they create for the viewer?
