AFJROTC Mission and Purpose Develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community The objectives of AFJROTC are to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship, promote community service, instill responsibility, character, and self- discipline, and provide instruction in air and space fundamentals. – No military commitment; not a recruiting program! – All who participate have an equal opportunity to excel – Top instructors; MSgt Del Rio was the 2014-15 Regional Instructor of the Year covering 9 states The AFJROTC program is grounded in the Air Force core values of integrity first, service before self, and excellence in all we do. The curriculum emphasizes the Air Force heritage and traditions, leadership, management, aerospace science and life skills

Benefits of AFJROTC TX-9410 is an elite, cadet-led and managed program that represents a diverse cross-section of the Franklin student body The program instills positive morals, ethics, respect, responsibility and accountability; cadets… – Who have completed three- or four-year track have 100% graduation rate; compared to 96.2 nationally for AFJROTC and 91.6 for non-AFJROTC students – Are more self-disciplined, motivated and better prepared for life than other students – Learn critical thinking skills

Benefits of AFJROTC Assists in obtaining scholarships and increased military rank – For those wanting to be officers … AFJROTC serves as a springboard to service academy nominations and ROTC scholarships; Major Parsont is a certified Air Force Academy liaison officer – For those wanting to enlist … completing two years of AFJROTC will allow one to enter at a higher rank Provides unmatched extracurricular activities and opportunities for community service while having fun! – Special teams (e.g., Armed and unarmed drill, Academic, Color Guard, CyberPatriot, Orienteering, Physical Training, Saber) – Field trips, military ball, summer drill and leadership camps – Cadets volunteers 1500+ hours/yr to support school, community and charity events
