Tuesday, 9/16/2014 In Class: 1.Marked text check-in (while you skim your notes… using them in 3 min!) and CN check-in from yesterday 2.INB… update the table of contents and today we will be taking Cornell Notes 3.YOU present….Jigsaw layers of Earth’s atmosphere (take notes in the end) 4.Complete page 14 in the INB Homework: 1.Create high-level questions & summarize Cornell Notes 2.Wrap up and study vocab cards

Tuesday, 9/16/2014 No Bellringer today, so jump right into the directions! Directions: 1.Skim over your marked text (have it out for check-in)...5 min 2.Count off in 5’s… I will lead 3.Move to your assigned table and determine the key “take aways” for your layer of the atmosphere …7 min 4.Return to your home table to take turns writing notes from each group member (#1-5)… 15 min 5.Complete the layers of the earth processing activity (teacher-led)

Obj: SWBAT explain the role of each atmospheric layer. Set up Cornell Notes in INB (in my INB, page 17) Topic: Layers of Earth’s atmosphere (switching to white board for your notes and INB activity)
