25 On the Job Training (OJT) - Breaking Down the Barriers to Success Structure of Business Service Team Structure of the Business Service Team St. Louis County has developed and implemented a team approach to administering and marketing the OJT program. The team consists of St. Louis County BSG staff and Missouri Career Center partner staff. This team approach provides for a focused and diversified approach to administering the program, coordinating with the Missouri Career Center staff and marketing the program to both local businesses and participants (i.e., job seekers) Our goal and purpose has been to: –Create an identity through Regional Partnership –Marketing –Results

33 On the Job Training (OJT) - Breaking Down the Barriers to Success Structure of Business Service Team Structure of the Business Development Department SLATE Missouri Career Center-Downtown utilizes it’s Business Development Department (Business Team) to administer and market the OJT program. The team includes the BDD Manager, a DWD Business Rep, and a SLATE Business Rep. All of the Business Development Department which also includes a Vet Rep (LVER), the MWA Business Rep, and three additional SLATE Business Reps, are responsible for the marketing of the OJT opportunity to employers. Our goal and purpose has been to: –Increase employer awareness of all of our Business Services which includes OJT –Make process as customer friendly as possible to the employer
