2
Chapter Plot Elizabeth’s letter shows concern for the ill Victor and asks him to write to his family ASAP. She says that Justine Moritz family died and she has moved to their house as a servant. Victor recovers and takes Henry, who is studying Oriental languages, to the university. Henry avoids all science people. They think he is modest but the sight of chemical things torment him over the monster. He decides to return to Geneva and awaits a letter from his father specifying the date of his departure. He and Henry take a walk through the country looking at nature’s beauty.

5
Character Analysis So far no changes in characters, so all 2-D Victor: Anxious, Crazy, Isolated Elizabeth: Optimistic, Sweet Henry: Companion, Helpful
6
Setting Long, harsh, ominous Winter delays return to Geneva, Spring passes and now back to Fall. The University supplies Victor with knowledge and supplies. Victor spends a lot of time wandering the town and courtyards to escape.
7
Mood/Tone/Voice Horror leads to suspicion Hopeful, with a new family member, Victor’s recovery, meeting old friends, seeing a beautiful city, etc. Great for bringing everything up and crushing hopes later. Ernest joining army doesn't sound good.
