That said, what is considered “appropriate” may vary from one parent to another. Some parents do not mind their child reading about mature topics that include, but are not limited to drug use, homelessness, sex, and gangs. Please be aware that the selections in my classroom library, just like any public or school library, range from elementary-level to university-level reading materials. I ask you to remain aware throughout the year of the books your child has chosen to read and assist in gauging appropriateness.

8. 8 On-going Assignments Students are required to: –Work on reading at least 150 minutes per week outside of class –Regularly update their reading log or complete their reading response sheet –Practice strategies taught in class –Complete additional work as assigned
