What is Celiac Celiac is an intolerance to grains with gluten in them The main grains are wheat, barley, rye, and there is a debate over oats. Celiac is a disease which is auto immune which means your body hurts itself.

Symptoms Diarrhea Constipation Abdominal pain Excessive gas Any problem associated with vitamin deficiencies Iron deficiency Chronic fatigue Weakness Weight loss Bone pain Easily fractured bones

Symptoms Continued Abnormal or impaired skin sensation Including burning, prickling, itching or tingling Headaches White flecks on the fingernails Fuzzy-mindedness after gluten ingestion Burning sensations in the throat

Symptoms in Kids Failure to thrive Paleness Querulousness, irritability Inability to concentrate Pot belly with or without painful bloating Pale, malodorous, bulky stools Frequent, foamy diarrhea, foamy diarrhea Note: Some people have these symptoms well others may not. Every celiac is different.

Diagnoses Process Blood test for enzymes or antigens in the blood(specific) upper G I with a biopsies Xylose test Gluten-Free Diet for six months than blood test. Celiac can take years before it is diagnosed because of testing
