1. 1.God blesses me to bless others (23:1-4). God placed me in life where he did to influence and bless others. 2.God blesses me through blessing my family (23:5) Some of God’s blessings to me will be experienced by my descendants. 3.The wicked are not blessed, but judged by God (22:6-7).

2. The promise to David (1000 BC)  12 When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers, I will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever…. 16 And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before me.Your throne shall be established forever.’ The fulfilment of the promise to David through the birth of Jesus Christ and His eternal kingdom  Matthew 1:1 – The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.  Luke 1: 31-33 – …and you shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

3.  Ephesians 3:20-21 – Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.  Philippians 4:19 – And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  1 Corinthians 2:9 – Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.

4.  Proverbs 20:7 – The righteous who walks in his integrity – blessed are his children after him!  Psalm 112:1-2 – Blessed is the man who fears the L ORD, who greatly delights in his commandments! 2 His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.  Psalm 37:25-26 – I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread. 26 He is ever lending generously, and his children become a blessing.
