7 Suggestions Create an International Collaboration Services Steering Committee Draw from international R&E networks Produce minimum criteria for participation in international collaborations (reciprocity avoids n-squared problem of certification) – Hardware and software standards – Training – Dialing plans – …

Organize workshops and outreach to facilitate delivering classes on collaboration services “Train the trainers” emphasis Build on common training materials with local translations Collocated with major regional conferences (TERENA, APAN, … ) Create “speakers, trainers, and consultants bureau” for referral of experts
