4 NAMA Facility Financial Instruments
Implementing partners are encouraged to use the grants to set up mechanisms that will mobilise additional funding, including private investment in particular. To finance the full implementation a broad financing concept is required This incorporate different sources of funding, including national public funds, private funds and international support.

8 Project Outcome Overarching project goal:
The RAC NAMA targets a sector-wide transition towards a sustainable production and use of climate-friendly cooling technologies with resulting emission reductions of 19.4 Mt CO₂eq over the lifteime of equipments. Financial Component – Project Outcome: GRIF is newly established to kick-start financing for production and dissemination of over 1 Mio. Green RAC appliances in the stationary AC, domestic and commercial refrigeration subsectors. One thrid of the GRIF and the NAMA investment will seed fund into revolving ESCO schemes as a sustainable institution beyond the duration of the supported NAMA.

Execution of GreenRAC funding for over 1 million appliances in 3 RAC subsectors The GRIF has co-financed Conversion of at least 2 production lines (3 Mio. EUR) Establihment of revolving end user financing schmes in cooperation with over 4 stratgeic end users (hotels, supermarket chains) (3 Mio. EUR) Guarantee schemes on loan programmes with at least two commercial banks (3 Mio. EUR) In total over 500 companies are receiving financial support or co-financing through GRIF
