8. Project Outcome Overarching project goal:
The RAC NAMA targets a sector-wide transition towards a sustainable production and use of climate-friendly cooling technologies with resulting emission reductions of 19.4 Mt CO₂eq over the lifteime of equipments.
Financial Component – Project Outcome:
GRIF is newly established to kick-start financing for production and dissemination of over 1 Mio. Green RAC appliances in the stationary AC, domestic and commercial refrigeration subsectors. One thrid of the GRIF and the NAMA investment will seed fund into revolving ESCO schemes as a sustainable institution beyond the duration of the supported NAMA.
