2 Integrated Approach to High School Math Extends Algebra learned in Math I Proof based approach to the study of Geometry Includes an introduction to Trigonometry (Continued in Math III and Pre-Calculus) Includes Probability and Statistics (prep for AP Statistics) We will use both the Geometry and Algebra II books throughout the year. Students will not complete every section in each chapter. MATH II OVERVIEW

6 Homework checked daily for effort (all attempted =3, incomplete = 2) Students will maintain a log of all assignments by unit Bonus homework assigned for option to work towards a 4 Quizzes – given at the end of each unit and graded for: Fluency – How accurate is the student’s work? Mathematical Communication – How does the student organize/present work? Can the student explain rationale? Problem Solving – Does the student try different approaches? Does the student make connections to prior knowledge and apply it to new problems? Homework and Grading
