We’ve already started with some Secondary Source research to help answer our question! Our Secondary Sources provided us with the context (story of HOW our country was taken over), the time frame, the key players (people’s names), how our country got its independence, and the type of government it has now. BUT we only have the “big picture” and now we need the details!!! We need to get specific! While we may still need to do MORE secondary research, we can now start to also research some Primary Sources.

Primary Sources Find primary source evidence that will make history “come alive!” Remember the History Fair Exhibit Board is a: VISUAL DBQ (document based question)

Primary sources are the “stuff of history”. But they’ll make a lot more sense if you do some solid secondary source research first.

Some historians call primary sources “HISTORY IN THE RAW”!

Check out books, journals, magazines, etc and bring them to class on Tuesday! (bring change for making copies of newspapers, etc that can’t be taken out of the library!)
