IF YOU HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED YESTERDAY’S ANALYSIS ASSIGNMENT DEALING WITH MINIMUM WAGE, READ SILENTLY FROM YOUR IRB BOOK OR WORK ON MEMORIZING YOUR PREPOSITIONS FOR TODAY’S TOURNAMENT. TODAY’S AGENDA: PRACTICE ROUND PREPOSITION TOURNAMENT

2 MARK THE TOP OF THE COLUMN IN WHICH YOU WILL BEGIN THIS ROUND TURN THE PAPER FACE DOWN HANDS IN THE AIR WHEN I CALL “READY” KEEP THE PAPER FACE DOWN TILL I SAY “BEGIN” MARK EACH PREPOSITION AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN. DO NOT MARK WORDS THAT ARE NOT PREPOSITIONS. MOVE FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM OF THE COLUMN HANDS IN THE AIR WHEN I CALL TIME.

3 SCORING: HAND YOUR SHEET TO THE PERSON BEHIND YOU. USE A BALL POINT PEN TO CROSS OFF EACH PREPOSITION AS IT IS CALLED COUNT THE NUMBER OF PREPOSITIONS MARKED BOTH WITH A HIGHLIGHTER AND A PEN. WRITE THE NUMBER AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LAST COLUMN CORRECTED. RETURN THE PAPER TO THE OWNER. OWNER CHECK THE SCORE. IN THE EVENT OF A TIE, OR CLOSE/QUESTIONABLE SCORES, THE NUMBER OF WORDS HIGHLIGHTED INCORRECTLY WILL BE SUBSTRACTED.

4 MOVEMENT: IN EACH PAIR (EXCEPT THOSE SEATED ON THE FRONT ROW), THE PERSON WITH THE HIGHER SCORE MOVES UP ONE DESK THE PERSON WITH THE LOWER SCORE STAYS SEATED. ON THE FRONT ROW, THE PERSON WITH THE HIGHER SCORE STAYS SEATED AND THE PERSON WITH THE LOWER SCORE MOVES TO THE BACK THE CHAMPION IS….. THE PERSON IN THE FRONT ROW WHO WINS THE LAST ROUND PLAYED.
