What parents can do Download Firefly App and use to check work set/ progress Check and sign the diary every week. Provide a quiet, desk space with a light and paper for private study. Support him with personal organisation! (New challenges such as files etc.) Monitor sleeping & gaming! Read coursework/homework (if possible) and help your son with projects. Buy additional reading materials/study guides for subjects and encourage independent learning. Discuss topics around the table that he is studying in school. Be positive with your child. Support is vital to success.

Trial June 2015 – 10 A2 “ I liked that there were no complications when finding the homework and there was no chance of doing it wrong.” “If you are off you can find out what your homework is.” 82% found it Easy/Very easy to use 80% found it useful for finding out what their homework was

How can you get involved? 24 – 28 August: Staff trained and Firefly pages started 1 - 13 September: All Year 11 boys being logged on in school 14-21 September: Teachers start to set homework on Firefly Parents – Ensure your son has downloaded the app or bookmarked the website
