Adjectives ntbk p. 129 adjective: -a word that modifies a noun or pronoun -descriptive words that include color, number, & shape hot soup hot, delicious soup The soup is hot. **NOTE: separate two or more adjectives in a row with a comma.***

Predicate Adjectives p. 128 An adjective that follows a linking verb & describes the subject of a sentence. Example: Bats are scary. The scary bat drank my blood.

Proper Adjective:Ntbk p. 127 -an adj. that is formed from a proper noun. -always begins with a capital letter. examples: FranceFrench Paris Parisian

Comparing with adjectives Ntbk p.125 An adj. has 3 degrees of comparison: 1 positive (stands alone) 2 comparative (compares 2) 3 superlative (compares 3 or more) Examples: Jeremy Lin is tall. Hagrid is taller than Lin. The Kraken is the tallest.
