3. Comparative degree Used to compare ONLY TWO actions!!! Ex: The eel swims faster than the fish. Ex: They talk more often than we do. Some adverbs are irregular and need “more” added in front of the word rather than adding ‘-er.’

4. Superlative degree Used when THREE OR MORE actions are being compared. Ex: The shark swims the FASTEST of the three. Ex: My cousins talk MOST OFTEN.
