23. Delaware’s Executive Branch Governor is the head of the branch Governor is also most powerful person in the state government Governor requirements –must be 30 years old –must be elected for a 4 year term –can only serve 2 terms

24. Governor Responsibilities Sees that laws are carried out Suggests new laws Signs new laws Can veto a law –Can Say “NO” to stop a bill from coming a law Makes the state budget Appoints judges to state courts Appoints people who run departments

25. Delaware’s Judicial Branch Made up of courts Includes judges and juries –Jury includes 12 citizens –Jury decides if a person has broken a law People are entitled to a fair trial which is called due process of law.
