Regular Council Meetings Meet twice a month - 7:00 P.M. on 1 st and 3 rd Tuesday (length of meetings vary) Formal – Council Chambers (Televised) Forum to make decisions - Bylaw readings Procedure Bylaw (Rules for Meetings) Council in Committee Meetings Meets twice a month - 6:00 P.M. 2 nd Tuesday & 3:00 P.M. 4 th Tuesday (length of meetings vary) “Working Committee” - Meadows Room Forum to review/make recommendations to Council May include a Workshop 5 th Tuesdays – optional for Workshops **Special Meetings – as required

Board Structure Board Committees consist of : Committees of the Whole, Standing Committees and Special Committees Board Committees include both internal and external Board representation

CANDIDATE WORKSHOP Elections 2011 BOARD OF TRUSTEES WHAT YOU DO…. Board Meetings (length of meetings vary) Held on the 2 nd and last Wednesday of each month (closed commencing in the afternoon and public meetings at 6:00 pm) No meetings – July; August – last Wednesday meeting commences in afternoon followed by public meeting at 6 pm Minimum 2 day Strategic Planning Sessions to establish Board goals and objectives Various Special Board Meetings as required **There are many other requests for Trustees to attend community and school functions and events and/or special meetings.
