12. This wheel thrower used a rib to create these flat surfaces around the round forms. She also altered the lip of the pourer to change the form from a vase into a pitcher.

13. The set you see here has a landscape approach to surface decoration. The wheel thrower applied glaze of various colors to blend together in a landscape-esque design.
