HISTORY OF MIDAIRS Since 1978 in the United States, there have been an annual average of 30 aircraft midair collisions resulting in an average 75 deaths per year. Over 450 Near Midair Collisions (NMAC) are reported each year. That doesn’t include those that don’t get reported Jan 05 midair over Oklahoma between a T-37 and a crop duster highlights the ongoing problem

29 Palms Land/Airspace Expansion 29 Palms has been identified by CNO for land expansion to meet Marine Corps future mission needs EIS being completed, a preferred alternative will be identified Once that is done the USMC will contact FAA and submit airspace proposal. The airspace requested will be in direct support of land expansion.
