2. AMEDA 7th Meeting - Mauritius May 20082 The “Emerging ANNA Members Working Group -WG4” was established in the year of 2000. The main objectives of this group were to provide a platform for exchange of ideas, thoughts and information on individual market practices which helps the emerging ANNA members to get to know each other much better and leads them to further co-operation.

3. AMEDA 7th Meeting - Mauritius May 20083 The last meeting of WG4 was held in Istanbul in the year of 2000. At that meeting, besides all the exchange of information and development of ideas for future co-operation, members of the group focused on extending the GIAM (GLOBAL ISIN ACCESS MECANISM) membership. Solid results in this very important issue had been taken in a rather short time. In these manners, the WG4 studies had triggered an efficient ISIN collection and dissemination process for emerging ANNA members.

AMEDA 7th Meeting - Mauritius May 20084 In 2006, the convener of the WG4 (Turkey) attempted to organize a new WG4 meeting in order to gather the emerging ANNA members again for refreshing their vision, setting new objectives and new ideas. But it was impossible because of insufficient participation.

AMEDA 7th Meeting - Mauritius May 20085 - At the ANNA General Meeting held in Vienna in May 2007, Turkey suggested to disband the WG4. - At the Extraordinary ANNA General Meeting held in Johannesburg in November 2007, it was proposed to merge interests of the emerging ANNA members into AMEDA - The ANNA Board contacted AMEDA President to seek their assistance in this matter and early 2008, AMEDA President received a letter from ANNA Chairman including ANNA recommendations.
