For L2 Certification, it is required that you provide details of your involvement in 3 areas of Giveback. In either level of certification, one area of Giveback must be mentoring.

Ideally, mentor several candidates at once Mentor/ mentee relationships can take many forms –Hands-on assistance, e.g. reviewing presentations –Career advice –Developing networks and relationships A broad stable of mentees is even better – across lines of business, geography, job roles

IT Specialist Profession © 2009 IBM Corporation 99/10/2015 Giveback - Certification Participation in ITS Certification Review Boards –Note: Participation on the IT Specialist certification review board is by nomination only. Contributing to the quality, effectiveness and vitality of the IT Specialist certification process –For example, by participating in task forces to review and recommend updates to certification processes and requirements.
