Wire Sculpture Creating a 3 D image using a basic frame….
Is like taking a bunch of contour lines and creating a 3D image out of the lines! Needs a decent frame, and the additional wire can have less weight to it. Is a very interesting and famous type of Art in 2D or 3D!

Another famous Wire Sculptor is…
Alexander Calder (22 July 1898 – 11 November 1976) He was famous for his mobiles (Kinetic Art), which used many types of wire. He created huge outdoor sculptures with the inside structures built of wire!

Your project will show…
Movement of the body Choose a recognizable gesture and sketch it using many contour lines. With the wire provided, create a strong frame for your subject. Use more wire to fill out your subject, making it look creative and 2 Dimensional. Make your subject stand up and out!

Try and be… Careful with the wire! Don’t poke your eye or someone else’s out! Non wasteful of the wire… use only what you need. Think about color… Understand that this is not as easy as it looks, patience…do not get stressed! Be creative!
