A Quadrilateral is a four-sided polygon with four angles. There are many kinds of quadrilaterals. E.g. The shape ABCD shown here is a quadrilateral. A line segment drawn from one. AC is a diagonal of quadrilateral ABCD, as is BD. vertex of a quadrilateral to the opposite vertex is called a diagonal of the quadrilateral

TYPES OF QUADRILATERALS
7
Opposite sides of a parallelogram are parallel and equal in length. Opposite angles are equal in size.
8
The symbol // represents ‘is parallel to’. AB is parallel to CD is written as AB//CD. Sides AB and CD are marked with identical arrows to show that AB //CD. Sides AC and BD are marked with identical arrows to show that AC //BD.
10
Opposite sides of a rectangle are parallel and equal in length. All angles are equal to 90°.
13
A trapezium has one pair of opposite sides parallel.parallel A regular trapezium has non-parallel sides equal and its base angles are equal
15
. s. . Students will be able to find relationship among angles, sides, and diagonals of parallelograms. Students will be able to find characteristics of quadrilaterals that indicate that they are + parallelograms. Students will know how to solve solve practical problems using the properties of parallelograms algebraic and coordinate problems using the properties of parallelograms. Students will know how to.
