Economy/Homeland Facts Population of 93.8 million people recorded in 2013 Highly diverse: Over 80 different ethnic groups reside in Ethiopia 90 different languages are spoken-most speak Afro-Asiatic languages of Cushitic and Semitic branches English is the most widely spoken foreign language and is the medium of instruction in secondary schools 7 hours of sunshine per day-average annual temperature of Addis Ababa ranges between 68-77 degrees each day
