Let’s Brainstorm What is bullying? Why do people act as bullies?
What are some things that a bully might do? What are examples of things a cyber bully might do? Have any of you had incidents in which you were bullied? Have you had experiences with a cyber bully?

Cyber-bullying can be defined as:
Being cruel to others by sending or posting harmful material using technological means; an individual or group that uses information and communication involving electronic technologies to facilitate deliberate and repeated harassment or threat to an individual or group. Also known as: ‘Electronic Bullying’ & ‘Online Social Cruelty’

The activity As a class, we will create a 10 question survey relating to cyberbullying. Individually, will then answer these questions on a scale from 1-5 (one- never occurs, 5- happens daily). In groups of four, we will then compile the class results, average them by both class as well as gender, and graph our data. We will then analyze the data and discuss possible solutions and prevention methods. Image Source Page:

Don’t respond or react- take 5! Reactive responses can only make matters worse Block their cell number, unfriend (on FB), block address Save any communication and report to an adult (teacher, parent, guidance counselor, etc) Remember to tell a trusted adult to stop these attacks on you.
