This walkthrough demonstrates how to search for eBooks in the EBSCO database.

In addition to searching for eBooks in the Library’s catalog, you can search for them in our EBSCO eBook database. To start, select the link “Databases” on the left menu of the library’s home page.

Select “eBook Collection (EBSCO).” If you are off campus, you will need to login at the next screen using your AU email login and password.

On the basic search page, you can search by keywords, author, title, etc. Once you have entered search terms, click “search.” You can also select eBooks at the top left to browse books by subject. To search only for books available for download, check this box.

On the left side of the results page you can narrow your search by date, subject, etc. The results in the center of the page, show the basic title, author, etc information for each book, and Links to the ebook full text (readable online only) and to the downloadable version when available.

Clicking on the eBook Full Text of a book brings up the book as a pdf on a page like this. Click to search within a book Click to print. Note there will be a limit to the number of pages from the book that you can print. The table of contents is listed on the left. Click a link to skip to that part of the book. Click on the arrows to go forward or back one page.

Click on “eBooks” at the top left of any page to reach this page, where you can browse by category/subject on the left of the page, highlights of the collection, featured eBooks, and more.
