Yokogawa’s FIELDBUS solution
This presentation represents the key features for Yokogawa’s products in respect to Foundation Fieldbus. Yokogawa is from the beginning a front leader in FF technology, as in the Foundation as in implementation into our products. Yokogawa offers a full FF solution to provide front-end digital plant control network to realize maximum cost effective projects and operational benefits. Let us start with explaining the VigilantPlant, which is Yokogawa’s deliverables towards Process automation.
2
Yokogawa’s vision Our commitment Your future Preserve the core
Stimulate progress Yokogawa Vigilance campaign we will be pushing forward with one common vision, Vigilance preserving our core values while VigilantPlant stimulating progress from the customer perspective. One vision turning the wheel of Vigilance, so to speak. Adapted from Built to Last, Jim Collins and Jerry Porras (1994)

Let us envision a plant people are watchful and attentive
business responds to change quickly and efficiently delivers non-stop production while confidently expanding your capabilities into the future Hence the VigilantPlant concept -- the vision of the ideal plant, what we want our customers to achieve, or keep achieving. It is a plant where people are watchful and attentive, while the customers business responds to change quickly and efficiently. It is an operation that delivers non-stop production, while confidently expanding the customer’s capabilities into the future. Imagine no further. This is the vision and promise behind VigilantPlant, the clear path to operational excellence.

Operational excellence in your future plant
Less blind spots Avoid guesswork, instability, sub-optimization Fewer surprises Minimize reactive measures, unexpected downtime, quality variations To help our customers achieve operational excellence, we introduce the See/Know/Act cycle as an integral part of the vigilant approach. The first one, SEE CLEARLY, is about visibility of information. VigilantPlant makes the right information visible to the right people (SEEING CLEARLY means less blind spots for the customer. It is our promise that the customer can avoid guesswork, instability, and sub optimization that might otherwise arise from having a lot of blind spots in the plant) KNOW IN ADVANCE is about predictability of process. VigilantPlant provides predictive intelligence that enables effective planning and decision making. (KNOWING IN ADVANCE means fewer surprises. It is our promise that the customer will be able to minimize reactive measures, unexpected downtime, and quality variations that might otherwise plague a plant where information is not well integrated). Lastly, ACT WITH AGILITY is about agility of business. VigilantPlant ensures speed and flexibility to plant operation and help optimize customers’ business in realtime. (ACT WITH AGILITY means free of bottlenecks. The customer will be able to reduce delays, lost opportunities, and knowledge silos that might otherwise constrain their adaptability and responsiveness). By enabling this continual See/Know/Act cycle, Yokogawa promises to enable the customer’s value chain. Free of bottlenecks Reduce delays, lost opportunities, knowledge silos

Remote HMI APC Office LAN Asset Management PIMS HMI SOE Terminal Server Controller Total overview for CS3000: Start with the control bus V-net-IP, fastest network with truly open communication. Truly Open means, compare to other vendors that any TCP/IP communication network can be connected to redundant Control bus 2. Key software overview: HMI or Yokogawa’s technology HIS, runs on windows 2000 and windows XP Also, terminal server from Microsoft is supported, windows 2003 which connect anywhere with client software for operation, engineering Integrated Sequence Of Event server and viewer Integrated PIMS system called ExaQuantum, tag list generated from HMI engineering environment will be automatically supported in PIMS Integrated PAM, Plant Asset management called PRM. Integrated APC, called EXASMOC, EXATIF...etc Advanced alarming using AAA-suite and Exaplog Advanced Operation using Exapilot Key Hardware overview: High reliable hardware using pair/spare technology, availability of , local and remote solutions, all Fieldbus supported Integrated Safety solution, called PROSAFE-RS. Operation, engineering integrated into HMI same alarm list and integrated hardware overview OPC gateways, GSGW for OPC client solutions (server remains in subsystem) and SIOS for OPC server solutions (migration other DCS etc..). Beside this also EXAOPC available for upwards integration. OPC Gateway Server / Client Integrated Safety Sub systems

(CS3000 using the master concept, where all operation important parameters are automatically download to the fielddevices, default conditions) The engineering environment uses Shadow Block to update all values from the field. The operation is similar to conventional I/O blocks and operator does not see the differences. During FAT, the FF-AI, FF-AO blocks can be set in to the integrated testfunction where the I/O readback is virtual connected to test the operator interface. The Fieldbus builder use Common File technology from Foundation Fieldbus. Each field device has DD and CFF files where the common files allows you to off-line engineer all fielddevices parameters. When using the DD files only the parameter reference are shown and not the content The Fieldbus builder automatically scheduled the Marcocycle and subcycles for the optimum communication performance The Fieldbus builder supports 4 subcycles where different control strategy can be built. Fast scan and others. During commissioning and maintenance of the fieldbus devices, when DD files and Capability files are missing the builder can generate automatically capability files for fast start-up. The Fieldbus builder supports Block Instantiation for Fielddevices with SMAR Stack and Software download for Yokogawa’s fielddevices where fielddevices (at this moment YVP, dYf, EJA, EJX) can be firmware upgraded (examples are bug fixing, addition diagnostics and function blocks) The Device Panel allows during Commissioning phase the automatic assignment of address, reconsolidation and auto sensing the field parameters to help smooth, time reducing commissioning time Operation: All fieldbus information, logics, process and device alarm, fieldbus interface card are integrated into HIS environment FF interface card: Standard LAS, can be configured as redundant (using same redundancy technology as normal I/O, redundant mode means two Fieldbus address on the bus). The total configuration can be 30 ALF111 card with 4 segments is 120 segments in total +/ Fieldbus devices per FCS (8 devices per segment, 600 shadow blocks are supported). Each segment can have 48 cyclic communication which is the largest in the market. CS3000 V-net/IP 1 Gigabit network Truly open network (300 Mb open communication) FF interface card Link Master (LAS) Redundancy 4 ports supported Up to 120 segments per controller 48 Cyclic communication per segment

Stardom Overview Hand palm Remote operation Telephone SMS Engineering / Operation Asset Management FTP-server PIMS-server SCADA station Ethernet FA PLC PLC from other supplier Stardom is a so called Network Control system and not a DCS. Networks are spreading not only to the production management and business operation levels but also to production systems. To make the most of these networks and boost manufacturing efficiency, STARDOM employs a network-based control system (NCS) that links devices, controllers, and systems so that information can be handled in an integrated fashion. STARDOM seamlessly links the diverse controllers and devices scattered around a site, and integrates the control domain. It also shares information with management framework systems so that changes in production plans can be handled in real time. STARDOM will revolutionize your production system operations. Any PC with network access can be used for operation and monitoring. Alarms and other important information can be sent by to cell phones and other portable communications terminals. Site status information is quickly available from any location, and an appropriate response to any change in status can be quickly initiated. STARDOM's field control junction (FCJ) and field control node (FCN) autonomous controllers are compact devices with a highly independent architecture. They are designed for installation at multiple locations to distribute risk. With a rugged design and an optional dual-redundant configuration, they are ideally suited for any mission-critical application where it is essential that plant operations proceed without interruption.
