8 Miami-Dade County Elementary After School Program

9 USTA partners with M-DCPS After School Program A total of 121 schools currently participate in this program. Servicing over 25,000 children. Miami-Dade County receives USTA National After School Grant. Elementary After School Program

10 30 schools 65 after school staff attend an in-service workshop, lead by two national trainers $10,000 worth of Wilson equipment distributed to the schools. 704 racquets 46 mini tennis nets 750 foam balls 5,000 children now introduced to tennis Phase 1 January 2007 Phase 2 Fall 2007 50 schools will be added, with an additional 10,000 children

20 42 PE Teachers participate in a USTA School demonstration at their “Summer HEAT Fitness Workshop” 30 PE teachers signed up that day for our in school program estimated 16,500 children Training and equipment order will take place this fall.
