Where was it found? Found in the sea off Cape Artemisium In a Roman shipwreck being shipped to Rome? Discovered in 1926 Retrieved in 1928 Diver died in excavation so exploration never resumed

Bronze Found in the sea so did not get destroy but preserved This allowed for a lot more freedom for the pose It is better than marble because it allowed for the arms to be raised
