5. What do I need to become a digital design artist?  Most jobs, especially with businesses require a Bachelor's degree in some digital graphics major. (Which can cost around $30,000 depending on your college)  Advertising classes under your belt help too, since most of the work you do will be for marketing.  Certifications in different digital media helps  2-10 years of experience  A portfolio of your best work also needs to be gathered and presented in most cases.

How do I keep this job?  Generally by being a great worker and having a passion for design and art, or else this might get rough.  Understand you will not be the one creating meaningful art, auctioning for millions. If you wanted that, then fine arts is what you want.  Your client is everything, whether its your boss or your local dinner, pay attention to what they want, even if you don’t like it. (The customer is always right oooo)  Keep up with new software and changes in the market. People have a tendency to change what they like and don’t like!
