Sender: Responsible for encoding an intended message into meaningful symbols, both verbal and non-verbal Communication Channel: Path of communication; written, spoken, non-verbal Receiver: Decodes perceived meaning Meaning: Interpret message Feedback: reverses the process & conveys response back to sender
