1 Astronomy, a New Degree Program in the Department of Physics & Astronomy This new program is unique in the State of Michigan! Bachelor of Arts in Astronomy* Appeals to a broad spectrum of students with diverse interests such as planetary geology, the solar system, space exploration, telescopes, stars, galaxies and cosmology. 2 Students graduating with a B.A. in Astronomy will have a full spectrum of job and further education options in: Law, business, education, and graduate programs in social and physical sciences. A degree in Astronomy can lead to exciting and rewarding careers at NASA, in scientific journalism, and advanced studies in astronomy and physics.
