Monsters and Language Read the excerpt from Shakespeare's Tempest. Summarize the main ideas of each speech. Compare and contrast Frankenstein's Creature with Caliban. What does the acquisition of language mean for each of them? Does it actually help them or does it only harm them? Make a prediction. How will the Creature's relationship with the people play out? Why?
