Pre and post operation patients. Nurses and CNA’s working together. › Both check on patients, but CNA’s have less patients and are unable to administer certain medical care.

Total knee and hip replacements. Appendix removal. Pneumonia. C-diff.

Personal Protective Equipment Used to prevent the spread of illness to medical workers. › Mask › Gloves › Gown

Postpartum (after having a baby) care of both Mother and Baby. Nursery. Labor. Nurses, CNA’s, and OBGYN’s.

The baby is delivered through a cut in the uterus. Much more sedation. More pain medication. Longer hospital stay.

Temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure. Post operation- every two hours. Babies- every two hours. Mothers- every six hours. C-section- every four hours.
