2 2 Introduction to OAS Keep copies of all documentation used to determine eligibility. Keep a signed copy of the application on file for auditor’s review. Copies of paper student applications are NOT sent to DPI.

3 User Passwords Only trained MPCP administrators and designees may receive a password. – New schools attend training in Madison. – Continuing schools can attend training in Madison or watch webcasts and email when viewing is complete. Designee Form – Complete to add new designees or when there is a change in administrator – Signed by both the designee and administrator – Must mail to department http://dpi.wi.gov/sms/forms.html

4 User Passwords Passwords cannot be shared. We will mail a password upon receipt of designee form and proof of training. Passwords will be locked if – Shared – Administrator or designee is no longer with school 4

5 5 Security Keep log in and password information in a secure location. Do not share your log in information. Do not leave your computer for extended periods of time. Log out and close browser after each session. 30 minute time-out.

32 32 Application Status Holding – incomplete applications (either ineligible or more info needed) Complete – no further information necessary, residency and income documents (if DPI’s Family Income Eligibility determination used) on file at school. Submitted – Following the open application period, and random selection if necessary, the application has been accepted by school and sent electronically to DPI. DOR Ineligible - DOR determined the student did not meet income requirements. Student is ineligible and decision is FINAL.

36 Continuing Student Application Continuing Students: – Enrolled and counted in the choice program on the prior count date at ANY school in the program or – On a choice waiting list in the prior year at ANY school in the program. – There cannot be a break in enrollment in the choice program. – Must be continuing in the same choice program, MPCP or PPSCP.

51 Waiting List Applications on a school’s waiting list should be entered into “completed” status in OAS. Do not “submit” these applications. Schools with choice students still remaining on the waiting list, because there was no space at the school for the students, will have to complete the “Waiting List” Report. 51

52 Waiting List Any student applications in completed status or submitted status that were not counted on count date will show-up in the waiting list report. 52

53 Waiting List Check only those students that remained on the school’s waiting list after the 2 nd Friday in January because there was no space at the school. Do not check students that declined a seat. 53

54 Waiting List Click “ Save.” Waiting List report must be completed by February 1. 54

55 55 Remember… School must have a completed, signed copy of a student application on file. You may enter applications at any time but only submit to DPI after an enrollment period ends. Notify parents/guardians of status in writing within 60 days.
