Mining is the work or business of taking minerals from the earth. A hole or tunnel is dug in the ground to take out metals, coal, salt, or other minerals. is the extraction of valuable minerals or other geological materials from the earth, usually from an ore body, vein or (coal) seam.

MANGANESE MANGANESE= Manganese is used extensively to produce a variety of important alloys and to desulfurize and deoxidize steel.

PHOSPHATES Inorganic compounds containing phosphorous. Used in fertilizers (as plant nutrient) and in detergents (as 'builders' or water softeners)

MANGANESE IS MORE ABUNDANT IN THE THREE Manganese is relatively abundant, constituting about 0.085% of the Earth's crust. Among the heavy metals, only iron is more abundant. Most manganese occurs in deposits of the oxides, hydrous oxides or carbonates.

PRICES: MANGANESE=$ 3.99 per gram PHOSPHATE =$ 0.00043 per gram COAL =$ 0.00018 per gram DEMAND: MANGANESE = Higher demand from industrialized countries PHOSPHATE = Higher demand from agricultural countries COAL = High demand from both industrialized and agricultural countries
