Seashore Secrets
3
Theme: We are exploring the intertidal sea life on the 200 ft stretch of rocky beach in front of our home.
4
Method: We caught the sea animals mostly with our bare hands but sometimes we used nets and buckets. Some of the animals were found at a normal low tide but many were found on unusually low tides. Everything we caught, we took a picture of. We collected creatures on seven different low tides. We found these animals under rocks, in seaweed, and also in tidepools.

When I went down to the beach and collected all the creatures, I noticed that just about twenty feet apart makes a big difference in what animals you can find, also I realized just how many different phylums, classes and familys you can find in just a small piece of beach -Lily Rea Turley

I learned that there are so many different types of animals that live on our beach that it would be impossible to study every single one. I also learned that when it's a really low tide, there are lots of crabs, fish and other creatures but they are all quite different than their higher tide cousins. -Jackie Turley
