3. Futbol, known as Soccer to us, is Spain’s most popular sport. Spanish teams play in the La Liga League which is arguably the toughest competition in the world. Teams include FC Barcelona, Valencia, and Real Madrid. Every year all teams from Spain compete in the Copa Del Rey tournament. Real Madrid has won the cup a record 8 times, their most recent coming in 2010 where they beat rival FC Barcelona. Some of Spain’s best Futbol players are Lionel Messi, Xavi, and Christiano Ronaldo. 4. Spanish basketball teams compete in the Liga ABC, and compete in the FIBA world championships Some of their best teams are Real Madrid and FCB Regal.
