How is Module 2 organized?
4
What are objectives/aims of Module 2? 1) Lead the participants via interactive exercises to Reflect upon an updated definition of innovation Distinguish between types of technological and non- technological innovation 2) Facilitate the innovative reflection for participants based on the example of “Café of the Future”, based on ICT progress 3) Develop participants deeper understanding of each innovation type on the “Wheel of Innovation” via key examples 4) Present the triangle system and lead discussion of the participants’ posible approach to use it for their innovation “Creativity, R&D and external environment”.
5
What are the resources provided to trainers? PowerPoint slide set with speaker’s notes Trainer’s Guide with guidance, suggestions, learning objectives, etc. Timing Sheet with tested slide-by-slide duration
6
What is your role in Module 2? In this module you must impart what innovation is and why is important! Focus on the individuals and their understanding Facilitate rather than “pontificate” The videos (and follow-on discussion) are key Each type of innovation on the wheel must be fully explored with the participants (video + DISCUSSION) More than ever you, the trainer, are the “Guide on the Side” and not the “Sage on the Stage”! Ensure that each participant gives an example of innovation and fit it into both type and the triangle system. Give feedback.
7
How to prepare for Module 2? Fully review and get comfortable with all resources – practice, practice, practice. PowerPoint presentations Do you understand each and every slide? Fully review, beforehand, all videos Trainer’s Guides Do you “get” the overall “flow” of the module? Are you clear on the learning objectives… and how you will achieve them? Timing Sheets Do a “dress rehersal” practice run – time yourself and note any discrepencies … and how to handle. PearlTrees Support Materials Focus on your key areas: essential, unclear, etc.
