CCHA Mission The Chaska Chanhassen Hockey Association (CCHA) believes in creating an environment which fosters the skill development of all CCHA players with an emphasis on fair play and the pure enjoyment of the game by its players. It will, to the best of its ability, be fair in team selections, ensure the quality of its coaching staff, and foster a balance between playing and winning. This program is created to stress sportsmanship, friendship, goodwill, strong values, and cooperation within its membership.

Player Commitment "The D6 one league rule has been replaced with a player commitment contracts that reads as follows - COMMITMENT TO TEAM – Players are expected to participate in all team activities (practices, games, tournaments, etc). An allowance for an “excused absence” upon notice that is reasonable under the circumstances may be established by teams and associations. However, unexcused absence is grounds for consequence to a player, as determined by the team or association, up to and including suspension.
10
CCHA Code of Conduct Code of Conduct forms are required for every role: – Coach; Parent & Player – Players, coaches, parents and spectators are to conduct themselves in a manner that "honors the Game" and demonstrates respect to other players, coaches, officials, parents and spectators. – Playing hockey in the CCHA is a privilege, not a right. All Code of Conduct forms will be collected by your team manager once the teams are formed
11
Policy Continuation SafeSport Coordinator is required by USA Hockey, MN Hockey & D6 CCHA will adopt Locker Room Supervision Policy NON-COMPLIANCE- will result in team suspension from games, along with fines Team manager will discuss how this can be implemented for your specific team

Expenses
19
Fees – Final Assessments This year’s initial fees look larger because they are spread among a projection of 14 players per team rather than 15 last year This does not change total fees, only the amount collected at registration Registration fees are only an estimate for a C level team with 14 players Final assessments calculate more exact costs, and the residual is billed or credited to player’s accounts in late November
20
Ice Ice Coordinators: Kyle Billadeau and Bob Lanzi No changes in ice contracts from last year CCHA ice scheduling model places a high priority on the following: – Using every hour that we have paid for – Supporting objectives as laid out by the HDC – Fairness to ALL teams (strive for even rotation of undesirable ice times) – Ensuring each team gets its budgeted hours Sunday night clinics for skaters and goalies will continue this year. Every effort will be made to schedule Sunday games early in the day to avoid conflicts. All players are expected to attend Skills Clinics (skaters and goalies) these are not optional!
21
Practice/Game Schedules First practices(posted to Tryouts page): Oct 11 th D6 Games start Nov 1 st and end Feb 10th District Tournaments 1.Feb 16-23, 2013 for A/B1 teams 2.Mar 2-9 for B2/C teams Regions Feb 28-Mar 2, 2014 State Mar 14-16, 2014 BAA and PAA no D6 or Regions, top 4 D6 teams seeded directly to state

District 6 - What’s New? League Play: Each level will play 16 game schedules consisting of 8 home and 8 away games. For competitive purposed, over the past couple years the district has modified the schedules a couple different ways in an attempt to provide a balanced schedule at the A and AA levels. As a result of the A / AA split, the competitive concerns have somewhat diminished and I feel that we can return to the 16 game “unbalanced schedule” again.
23
What’s New Continued Playoff format: Bantam AA:No District 6 playoffs due to new MN regional playoff seeding format. A/B1/B Level:6 teams double elimination format. If a level has 10 or more teams, we will increase the playoff field to 8 teams which would include one round of single elimination Wild Card games.
24
What’s New Continued Playoff format: B2/C Levels:Number of teams advancing to district playoffs will be determined the number of teams participating in the league: 8 teams:6 teams participating in double elimination format 9 – 12 teams:8 teams participating. Seeds #5 – 8 will play a Wild Card format (single game elimination) to determine seeds #5 and #6 in 6 team double elimination format. 10 – 16 teams:10 teams participating. Seeds #5 – 10 will play a Wild Card format (single elimination) to determine seeds #5 and #6 in the 6 team double elimination playoff.
