Where circumstances for Christchurch Court to cancel a conference, the liability of Christchurch Court shall be limited to a refund of any fees paid for that particular conference. The ROCK club is a service user led collaboration between Richardson Partnership, Oakleaf Care, Christchurch Court and Kemsley Unit St Andrews. It is a social group bringing acquired brain injured people together to socialise as well as participate in common interests. All payment must be in pounds sterling. Payment for the conference must be received by or before the closing date stated on booking form. We will not be able to guarantee you a place unless payment has been made. If delegate is unable to attend a substitution may be made, please contact events team to put this into action. Cancellations will not be eligible for a refund, however all profits from the event will be donated to ROCK Club (see below for details).

People recovering from a severe acquired brain injury have a combination of problems including behavioural, social, emotional, physical and functional difficulties. Severity and complexity of these injuries may prevent people living safe, fulfilling lives independently. Extract from Christchurch Court’s contribution to The Parliamentary Yearbook 2009 “I've changed my mind” is a series of one day events concerned with the adjustments acquired brain injured adults are challenged with on a day to day basis when re-entering society and having to adapt to this 'new life'. Day one focuses on relationships. Participants will learn about:- Identifying the challenges people with acquired brain injury, their family and carers face when making new relationships Understanding legal and ethical issues, unravelling some myths Sexuality in a care environment - how and when not to turn a blind eye Fun and leisure - Essential goals of rehabilitation?
