Our Lady and St Patrick’s College Year 14 Induction Day Friday 30 August 2013
2
Entry Into Year 14 You must pass a minimum of 3 AS-level subjects if you wish to return to the College as a Year 14 student. You must pass an AS-level subject (Grade A – E) if you wish to take it as an A2 subject in Year 14. In some cases, if you have a low pass in the subject you will be advised not to continue with it to A2.
3
Consulting With Your Teachers Students with A or B grades in a subject can proceed with it to A2 without consulting their subject teachers. Students with C, D or E grades in a subject must consult with their subject teachers if they wish to take the subject to A2. If you achieved a grade U in a subject then you should consult with your subject teacher and a Careers teacher about the way forward.

Work Hard And Play Hard! Last year, 20% of Year 14 students achieved a minimum of A + A + A at A-level. Each student also participated in a variety of other extra-curricular activities: e.g. voluntary work, sport, music, drama, etc. Very good exam results are often complemented by achievement in other non-academic areas. Universities are not just interested in your exam results but in your character and personality. However good time management is essential! - get the balance right!
