3. …by Structure 1)Simple: contains a simple subject and verb, and expresses a complete idea Ex. I like chocolate. 2)Compound: combines a simple subject and verb using for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so Ex. I like chocolate and peanut butter. 3)Complex: contains the words such as because, since, after, although, when, that, who, or which Ex. I like peanut butter because it is crunchy.
