Forming Age Numbers The sign form is a combination of the sign indicating age and the number itself. To indicate age, the index finger contacts the chin and is followed by the number. You can use a variation of the sign for “old” in conjunction with the number.

Ranking by Age When talking about three or more children or siblings in a family, rank each child by age on your non dominant hand. The oldest is represented by the thumb or index finger Continue giving additional information by simply pointing to the finger representing that family member.
