2 The Cabin Area Parcel X 451 Cabins 244 lots – 30’ x 50’ (1500 sq. ft.) 207 lots – 40’ x 50’ (2000 sq. ft.) We have been advised this is the last year residents will be issued a yearly Camping Permit

4 Where are we? Parks Canada has informed us that they will discontinue the traditional Camping Permit in favor of a long term Lease (42 year) This change would put the entire town site on the same system – LEASES We are currently discussing this process and its financial impact on cabin owners with representatives of Parks Canada Agency

7 Release Fee When land is released for the first time a Release Fee is paid by the user to the Crown. The Release Fee is calculated based on the incremental or windfall profit to the user for gaining exclusive use of the land.

8 Phase In Parks Canada has put forward the option of a three year phase in to transition us to the new Land Rent System based on a 42 year lease.

10 What’s Coming After the 2007 season all cabins must be hooked into the central water and sewer system The operations of the PCA owned common washrooms will be determined in consultation with the various stakeholders

12 Next Meeting The next meeting this evening, hosted by your Community Council will present the opportunity of the establishment of a municipal government structure for the Waskesiu Lake town site.
