Compile list of current DEM data and its specifications. Based on the above results, develop the first "GEOSS Interoperability Guidance on DEM data"

Coordinate Reference System: To be explicitly stated so that the CRS conversion can be made more easily. Metadata standard: Need to promote convergence. One candidate would be ISO19115 metadata.
