2 Design Process What was the inspiration for the characters? A cartoon style similar to that of the following: - Ardman Animations Wallace and Gromit - Rareware (Rare ltd) Banjo kazooie

3 Design Process Designing the characters. Select key features from the inspirational images for use in our characters. - Big eyes - Prominent eye brow - Main characters come in pairs

4 Design Process Creating the characters. We decided to use Autodesk's 3d Studio Max to create Characters with a 3d look and feel. Why use 3d Studio Max? - We have some skills in creating 3d models - Changes can be made easterly - Can render a model from multiple angles

5 Design Process Problems Encountered. Using 3d Studio Max created some time consuming problems these problems are listed below: - Rigging and skinning - Lighting - Batch rendering - Angle of rendering
