Egypt and the Bible The Bible is filled with stories about Egypt’s relationship with God’s people. The Bible is filled with stories about Egypt’s relationship with God’s people. Pharaoh’s Rebellion Pharaoh refused to let God’s people go. God allowed a series of 10 plagues to assail the Egyptians. Pharaoh made things more difficult for the Israelites after each of the first 9 plagues.
